Why do we do visualisation?
- To remember the course, so we focus on what we need to do during the run and not focus on where the gates are.
- To plan and remember what we are doing. This way it can be automatic.
- To get extra practise so it feels like we have already done a run.
What are the advantages of each perspective?
1 - From out of the boat and above (3rd person)
This view helps us remember where the gates are placed, and the lines we want to take between the gates
2 - From out of the boat and the side (3rd person)
This view is the view we most often see when we watch ourselves on video (from someone videoing us from the side) We can see some lines, but most importantly what stokes are done, and where they are placed.
3 - From in the boat (1st person)
This view is good due to it feels like we have done the course before. (This is like a go pro helmet view)
